Un vecino circula por la carretera GC-104 tras su reapertura en la

El Servicio de Obras Públicas e Infraestructuras del Cabildo de Gran Canaria procedió ayer a reabrir al tráfico la carretera GC-104, la vía de acceso a Los Corralillos desde Cruce de Arinaga, que permanecía cortada en un tramo de unos 320 metros desde el pasado mes de febrero.

Las intensas lluvias que se dieron hace dos años, obligaron a cerrar la citada carretera al resquebrajarse el borde la calzada, que ya había sufrido un pequeño derrumbe tres años y medio antes, y que hizo que la entrada y salida del núcleo agüimense se tuviera que realizar por la carretera GC-100, en un rodeo que obligaba a llegar a Agüimes casco, o por el barranco, a través de una pista de tierra que se ha ido deteriorando considerablemente durante los últimos meses por el continuo tránsito de vehículos.

Las obras, ejecutadas por la empresa Surhisa, se paralizaron durante el periodo más duro del confinamiento decretado por el Gobierno de España, que restringió la movilidad de la población y limitó la presencia de trabajadores en las actividades consideradas no esenciales, lo que provocó un ligero retraso sobre la fecha inicialmente prevista para su finalización.

La solución definitiva a la carretera se ha dado con la reposición del muro afectado tras el derrumbe sufrido en 2018 y el reasfaltado de la vía, así como con una pequeña obra para la reconducción de las aguas pluviales, y que no ha condicionado la ejecución de la misma.
