"El último viaje de Galdós", tercer montaje del gran proyecto de experimentación escénica denominado Laboratorio Galdós, que viene desarrollándose desde 2018, será estrenado en el Teatro Pérez Galdós de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria los próximos días 8, 9 y 10 de octubre.

Con dirección de Mario Vega y texto de los dramaturgos madrileños Laila Ripoll y Mariano Llorente, "El último viaje de Galdós" se concibe como una experiencia teatral inmersiva y envolvente en la que los espectadores-as vivirán todo un intenso proceso en torno al último tramo vital de la existencia de Benito Pérez Galdós de manera directa.

La obra cuenta con un elenco coral de actores y actrices integrado por Lili Quintana (Dolores), Ruth Sánchez (Emilia), Marta Viera (Conchita), Maday Méndez (Lorenza), Andrea Zoghbi (Sisita), José Luis Massó (El Señor Circunspecto) y Rubén Daría (Benito Pérez Galdós).

Laboratorio Galdós es una coproducción de Unahoramenos y el Teatro Pérez Galdós, que cuenta con el patrocinio del Cabildo de Gran Canaria y Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, patronos de la Fundación Auditorio y Teatro, y la colaboraciçon del Gobierno de Canarias y Ayuntamiento de Agüimes.

Durante la presentación de "El último viaje de Galdós", el director del montaje, Mario Vega, aseguró que Laboratorio Galdós será refundado en los próximos tres años. "Estamos trabajando en la segunda fase de esta experiencia hasta 2023, manteniendo como esencia los pilares básicos de innovación, dramaturgia contemporánea y participación ciudadana que tendrá como sede el Teatro Pérez Galdós, pero con una dimensión más internacional, planeando tres coproducciones con festivales internacionales de Francia, Colombia y Burkina Faso, y donde el eje central se convierte en la investigación y creación artística".
